If you scanned my shirt, my name is Thayne Martin.
I’ve lived a difficult challenging life…and along the way I learned something simple but powerful.
Human connection through experiential gratitude…heals. Gratitude heals are broken hearts. Unconditional love still exists…even between strangers…and gratitude is the spark that fuels everything and can connect us all!
I created this “tap me in” shirt as an invitation, an invitation to remember that we are not our politics, not our religion, not any label other than our names.
We are people…husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and friends. Somewhere along the way…we forgot that. We have names. We deserve to be seen for who we are, not the labels society wants to place on us.
Healing begins when we meet in the neutral space…The place where “we” still exists. I know we live in the greatest country in the world, but it is painful to feel the divide. It’s up to “Us” to fix this and mend our hearts that our leaders have forgotten about…and it starts here.
